The internet is a wonderful resource for medical information. Most of it is accurate and reliable, but unfortunately some of it is not. • AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS This is the official website of the American Academy of Pediatrics, an organization dedicated to the care of infants, children, and adolescents. There are many resources here for parents, including information on parenting, car seats, and other important topics.
• eMedicine While not specifically a pediatric website, this site has in-depth information on a variety of medical topics, written by experts in their respective fields. While some of the information is geared more toward medical professionals, there is also a good "Consumer Health" section. Registration is recommended but is free.
Smoking Cessation

Travel Medicine

Here you will find information regarding the most prevalent illnesses in the regions that you are planning to travel to, and suggested vaccines. There is also information about food and water safety, travelers' diarrhea, traveling with kids and kids with special healthcare needs.
