Child Development

Pediatricians specialize in early recognition of the many aspects of childhood developmental, including communication, large motor, fine motor, problem solving, and social development, as well as in the recognition of very serious developmental delays noted in Autism Spectrum Disorder. Your Clinician will screen your child at well child visits using evidence-based tools, such as the Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT). If any delays are suspected, your Clinician will develop a plan to help your child early.  If you have a concern about your child's development at any stage of childhood, we can help.
